Established in 1858 by Yukichi Fukuzawa, Keio University is Japan’s oldest private institution of higher learning. Approximately 33,000 students are enrolled in its ten undergraduate faculties (Letters, Economics, Law, Business and Commerce, Medicine, Science and Technology etc) and 14 graduate schools. The success of Keio University graduates is remarkable, ranking first in the number of presidents of listed companies (according to the 2023 University Ranking published by Asahi Shimbun). In a 2021 survey conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, the increase in the number of startups from Keio University ranked first. Asahi Shimbun’s 2023 University Ranking also placed Keio first among private institutions with regard to the acquisition of Grants-in-Aids for Scientific Research, which is the source of venture creations.

To accelerate the launch and growth of start-ups within the university, the Startup Division launched the Keio Startup Community Program. Keio University continues to refocus and invest in research as well as in educating the future leaders of the society, teaming up with its official venture-capital, Keio Innovation Initiative and external partners to invigorate the university’s start-up community..

At City-Tech.Tokyo, Keio University will introduce 10 exemplary start-ups that are attempting to transfer technologies developed within the university into societal implementation in the two area of focus, “Healthcare” and “Smart Society” with the goal of “achieving a smart society that supports the healthy lifespan of this age of centenarians."

Kobe has long served as a global business hub and has now become the “Global Startup City” selected by the Cabinet Office.The largest bio-medical cluster in Japan is also located here. To land in Kobe Startup Ecosystem, we offer tailor-made support with more than 60 mentors so that any startups can easily access to enterprises, organizations, hospitals and government. Open innovation programs are available for startups. Since the beginning of the Meiji era (1868-1912), many venture companies with original technologies have been born over the generations, earning the city of “Venture company.” Kyoto is also a city of innovation, where tradition and innovation have been developed in harmony and fusion with different cultures.

The Municipality of Lokron, is part of the Regional Unit of Fthiotida, of the Region of Central Greece and is only 146 km from Athens. It is the second largest Municipality of Fthiotida with 17,854 inhabitants and has an area of 614.7 square kilometers. It consists of 14 communities. Our coastline is 82 kilometers and stretches from Arkitsa to Larymna. It is an ideal destination for nature lovers as well as those who are ecologically conscious as approximately in the middle of the coastline there is Paliomagaza Lagoon, an important habitat, designated as a Wildlife Refuge.

Manila is a coastal and highly urbanized city in the Metropolitan Manila. It serves as the national capital as well as the regional center of the NCR. The Minato City Industrial Promotion Center is a ""future-oriented industrial promotion center"" that brings together ""the power of companies, people, and communities"" and provides the latest information and technology.

The center is equipped with Co-working space and Business support factory, and focuses on ""startup promotion"" and ""global open innovation.

With a mission to contribute to society through urban development, the Mitsubishi Estate Group is expanding its business into a variety of areas based on the development know-how accumulated in the Marunouchi area (Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho) over the past 130 years.

Mitsui Fudosan is working to solve social issues through ""urban development."" As part of this effort, we are working with the Life Science Innovation Network Japan (LINK-J) to create an innovation ecosystem for the creation of new industries in the life science field. LINK-J is a collaboration of venture companies, universities, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies that transcends industry boundaries while leveraging each other's knowledge, technology, capital, and information. We support the creation of new industries by ""building communities,"" ""developing places,"" and ""providing funds.""
